IDC study on partner profitability with Microsoft AI
The by Microsoft commissioned IDC study “Microsoft Partners Driving Economic Value and AI Maturity” from September 2024 (IDC #US52483124 ) provides insight into the economic value partners realize in their relationship with Microsoft and its technology, with a particular focus on AI. Its findings highlight the revenue multiplier for partners when selling both their own services and software alongside Microsoft products, while navigating the transformational impact of AI on their customers.

Partners that engage clients buying and using Microsoft technology also drive their own services, software, and resale within those accounts. For every $1 of Microsoft revenue, partners who provide services generate $8,45 and partners who develop software generate $10,93.
